KeePass Password Safe (簡稱 KeePass) 是一套密碼管理的軟體，我們可以在這套軟體裡依照網站的類別建立不同的群組，然後在這些群組裡記錄我們的帳號、密碼、網址等資料。操作的方式極為簡單，沒有複雜的步驟。

因為這套軟體管理著我們極為私密的資料，所以它本身必須具有非常安全的機制來保護我們的這些資料不為外人所窺看。這點我們不用擔心，因為 KeePass 擁有一套非常好的加密機制，所以就算是儲存帳密的資料被別人取走，對方想要破解取出其中的資料是幾乎不可能的。

當我們第一次使用 KeePass，建立資料庫的時候，就必需輸入進入資料庫所需要的密碼，除了這個「第一層」的密碼之外，KeePass 還有一個特殊的雙重保護功能，那就是「鑰匙檔案」。當建立了這個鑰匙檔案，以後要打開資料庫除了得輸入密碼之外，還得要有鑰匙檔案才行，如果我們把鑰匙檔案帶走，那麼別人就算知道資料庫密碼也無法進入。

除了一般的密碼管理之外，KeePass 也提供了「執行自動輸入」以及「密碼產生器」的功能。這麼優質的密碼管理軟體完全是免費的，而且還有繁體中文的介面。除了一般安裝版本之外，KeePass 也提供了免費裝的可攜綠色版本，方便存進隨身碟帶著到處走。

KeePass is a free/open-source password manager or safe which helps you to manage your passwords in a secure way. You can put all your passwords in one database, which is locked with one master key or a key-disk. So you only have to remember one single master password or insert the key-disk to unlock the whole database.
